Subject:2019 Third Judicial Circuit Court Annual Report  Cover Contest Winners 

Detroit, MI – “On behalf of the Third Circuit Court, I thank the prize winners for their hard work, creativity, and excellence in the Annual Report cover designs.  The talent was exceptional!” says Chief Judge Timothy M. Kenny. 

he Third Circuit Court is pleased to announce its 2019 Annual Report Cover Contest winners.  This contest is open to high school students who reside in or attend Wayne County schools.   

The 1st place winner is Darian Hopper.  Darian attends John Glenn High School and William D. Ford Technical Center.  He plans on starting his college career at Schoolcraft, though he has not yet decided on his major.  The graphic design class he took at the William D. Ford Center was his first and only experience in the graphic design field but he plans on practicing more in his free time. 

The 2nd place winner is Hayla Thurmand.  Hayla attends John Glenn High School and William D. Ford Technical Center.  She plans on attending Wayne State University in the fall to study Pharmacy.  She really enjoyed her graphic design class this year. She also likes drawing and painting. 

The 3rd place winner is Lance Church.  Lance attends John Glenn High School and William D. Ford Technical Center.  He has an interest in art and design.  His goals are to improve on his art and his methods to which he uses it.  Mainly focusing on digital art and painting.  He hopes to become an art teacher and be able to become a teacher to which his future students can rely on and talk to.  The support from his loved ones is what helps him be able to be the best he can be as an artist and as a student.
