Subject:Interruption to Third Circuit Court Services

A power outage at the Penobscot Building has interrupted telephone connections throughout the Third Circuit Court. It has also halted Zoom capabilities with some court facilities.

Limited phone service is still available at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center, Frank Murphy Hall of Justice and Lincoln Hall of Justice.

For all Third Circuit Court divisions, if you have a matter scheduled for today, February 3, 2021 please attempt to call the assigned courtroom for further instructions or visit our website at www.3rdcc.org. Some courts have phone service and will advise you of how today’s proceedings will be conducted.

All Family Domestic and Friend of the Court hearings scheduled for Wednesday, February 3, 2021 will be rescheduled. You will get a new notice from the Court.

The Mission of Third Judicial Circuit Court is to provide accessible and equal justice with timely dispute resolution. The Third Judicial Circuit has jurisdiction over Civil, Criminal, and Family matters arising in the County of Wayne. The National Center for State Courts has cited the Third Circuit Court as one of the model urban courts in the United States for case flow management and the timely disposition of the Court’s docket. Efforts are underway to identify and fix the power problem.
