Subject: Legal Careers at the Wayne County Friend of the Court: The Third Circuit Court’s Commitment to Excellence 

 

Detroit, MI – Wayne County is one of the most diverse communities in the entire nation. The Third Circuit Court recognizes diversity and inclusion is a pillar of excellence, and is committed to recruiting and hiring individuals of all races, genders, colors, religions, and other diverse identities. A diverse talent pool and an inclusive work culture allow the Court to innovate and employ best practices, build trust and confidence in the judicial branch of government, and to provide exemplary public services and programs.

In furtherance of its commitment to excellence, Hon. Timothy M. Kenny, Chief Judge, invites the legal community to a session entitled “Legal Careers at the Wayne County Friend of the Court.”

On Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom, Executive Court Administrator Zenell Brown will moderate a panel consisting of Chief Judge Timothy M. Kenny, Presiding Judge Kathleen M. McCarthy, Friend of the Court Erin Lincoln, Chief Referee Stephanie Witucki, and other Friend of the Court Referees to discuss the Friend of the Court Referee and Attorney positions at the Court. Those in attendance are invited to submit their questions to the moderator.

The “Legal Careers at the Wayne County Friend of the Court” session is one initiative borne out of the Third Circuit Court’s Diversity and Inclusion Plan
