Wayne County Self-Help Center News

 

On Wednesday, May 29, and Friday, May 31, the Self-Help Center at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center will be closed. The Center will be open Thursday, May 30, and will resume normal business hours at Coleman A. Young Municipal Center on Monday, June 3. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause for you. The Michigan Legal Help Self-Help Center is located in the Coleman A. Young Center on the 19th Floor (Room-1911) located at 2 Woodward Ave., Detroit Michigan. The Center hours are 9:00am-3:00pm Monday through Friday. The last visitor must sign in for services no later than 2:00pm. The office must close promptly at 3:00pm.

The Self-Help Center can assist Wayne County resident who wish to gain information about how to represent themselves in simple legal matters, through the
Michigan Legal Help website.

In addition to the website, self-help center staff (called 'navigators') will assist visitors as they look for what they need on the website, answer questions about court practices and processes, and simple questions about forms available on the website. Navigators cannot give legal advice.
