The Third Judicial Circuit’s Purchasing Department provides centralized procurement of all required supplies, materials, equipment and professional or general services for the Court.

The Purchasing staff handles direct the procurement of Court expenses, including renovation projects, professional services, equipment and other commodities as needed.  The buyers are responsible for establishing contracts to provide immediate and uninterrupted source of supplies for the court and are active participants in cooperative purchasing with other entities and Wayne County in an effort to obtain volume pricing and eliminate duplication of effort on common purchases. 

The Purchasing Department seeks to secure supplies, materials, equipment and services (both construction and professional) for the Third Judicial Circuit in an efficient, professional, timely and cost effective manner, and in accordance with all legal requirements and ethical standards. We are dedicated to providing all stakeholders with the highest level of customer satisfaction, and the best overall experience and outcomes for Wayne County residents.

A competitive solicitation process is the preferred method for acquiring goods, services, and construction for public use in which award is made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, award is based solely on the response to established criteria.
