Third Judicial Circuit in Detroit announces remote operations on May 31 for the Detroit Grand Prix

Detroit, MI – The Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan will have remote services only for Court operations normally held at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center (CAYMC) on Friday, May 31 because of the start of the Detroit Grand Prix. Other locations will maintain full operations on May 31. Normal operations will resume at CAYMC on Monday, June 3.

Numerous Grand Prix practices will start on May 31 and continue through Sunday, June 2 with the featured race. All parties can expect surrounding street closures and high traffic volume, and should plan accordingly as that week progresses.

“This is just another example of how downtown Detroit has become a global destination for sporting and other events,” said Third Judicial Circuit Executive Court Administrator Frank Hardester. “We’re happy to make some adjustments to our May 31 operational schedule given the direct impact of the Grand Prix on Jefferson Avenue, adjacent to CAYMC.”
