Family Assessment Unit
Provides court ordered psychiatric and psycho-diagnostic evaluations, recommendations, reports, and expert testimony on adults whose children are before the court for Child Protective Hearings. The family assessments assist the jurist in determining the best interest of the children and whether the family can be safely reunited.
Child/Adolescent Assessment Unit
Provides court ordered psycho-diagnostic evaluations, recommendations, reports and expert testimony to the Court on adjudicated (SED) youth and/or their parents for dispositional, probationary review and designated hearings. Additionally, this unit provides evaluations to aid in treatment and probationary planning, as well as evaluations of children and adolescents who may have been victims of parental abuse or neglect for child protective proceedings.
Specialized delinquency assessments include waivers to adult court, criminal responsibility, competence to stand trial and ability to waive Miranda rights.
