TIP is the Truancy Intervention Project for the Third Circuit Court – Juvenile Division.  TIP addresses the rise in chronic absenteeism involving Wayne County youth by holding informal intervention hearings with the students, their parents, school officials, and other service providers.  These hearings are designed to address absenteeism and increase students’ attendance prior to the need of a formal complaint arising, which then places the youth on the Court’s formal Truancy Docket.
