Strategies: a.Open all offices for in-person business/services. b.Develop systems and processes to serve customers by email, live chat, video, and online. c.Use existing and emerging technologies to provide easy access. d.Partner with community organizations to provide remote/virtual access sites for people to conduct court business (to avoid having to travel to the courthouses). e.Develop processes, procedures, and schedules in each area / division of the Court to ensure in-person, electronic, and virtual services. f.Provide easy and simple directions and information to navigate the Court. g.Educate court users about court processes and procedures. h.Expand self-help services and information. i.Use images and improve signage, information, and resources to help court users effectively complete court business. j.Use translation technology to assist non or limited English proficiency court users.Goal 2: All court users will be treated with respect and receive the highest quality customer service.Strategies: a.Create a welcoming, respectful, and professional environment for all court users for in-person, virtual, or online services. b.Make customer service a high priority in each division, stressing that there is pride in serving the public. c.Continue to train staff on divisions of the court and how to refer/direct court users to correct areas to complete their court business.Goal 3:The Court will provide services and resolve legal matters/cases in a fair and timely manner.Strategies: a.Ensure outcome and procedural fairness for all litigants/court users.b.Improve scheduling practices (on-time scheduling vs. cattle call). c.Reduce wait times for scheduling appointments and hearings. d.Reduce backlogs and the time it takes to resolve legal matters/cases. e.Start court events (hearings, trials, appointments) on time. f.Develop consistent procedures/practices across the Court for virtual hearings. g.Assist court users as needed when participating in virtual hearings, trials, and/or appointments. h.Make timeline resolution a priority for all judicial officers and build support among judges for timely services and resolution.i.Review and share data / stats in each division. 20232027 Strategic PlanThird Judicial Circuit Court 5'
