b'Court must also provide access and services to people who do not have or do not use technology.10. The Court must be agile; it must be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. We need to re-evaluate/ reinvent the Courts many policies, procedures, and practices, and be more flexible / less rigid in the future. 11. It has been / is currently an employees market. The Court, like many public and private organizations, has lost talent and institutional knowledge because a large number of employees have changed jobs or left traditional jobs for more pay, greater flexibility, cost of child/ dependent care, to name a few. Many people also have retired voluntarily.Despite the era of the great resignation or the great re-shuffle, there are opportunities to tap into new employee markets (e.g., part time, contractual / gig economy, people who want to work unusual hours or are available to work remotely).12. The Court/Court leaders need to explore creative ways to get the work done with fewer resources (e.g., through upskilling and reskilling the workforce/training and development, coaching, using automation/technology, redesigningexpanding/enrichingjobs, etc.).13. Human resource practices need to be critically evaluated, improved, and modernized to address current challenges and changing expectations. The Court must be more creative and reimagine recruitment, hiring, and retention practices.Examples included: provide equitable pay, provide more flexibility for employees, enhance skills / competencies of workforceupskill and reskill to meet current / future needs, do succession planning / develop employees and provide advancement opportunities; redesign/re-think jobs so they are more meaningful/satisfying; implement DEI/B initiatives; make employee wellbeing a priority; etc.).14. Hybrid everything is here to stay. The Court must find an optimal mix of in-person and hybrid approaches to serving the public and doing its work, specifically related to hybrid hearings, services, work options.15. The space needs of the Court may change, or facility and space plans may need to be adapted to match how the work of judges and employees change (e.g., hybrid practices). The Court will need to think critically about how to use space efficiently (e.g., develop shared spaces/shared courtrooms).16. The Court needs to engage the public and continue to build the publics trust.20232027 Strategic PlanThird Judicial Circuit Court 19'
